FNJI FORE is the younger, more vibrant line under the FNJI brand. The name “FORE” stands for “forward,” reflecting a fresh, modern attitude toward urban living. With a more flexible and unrestrained design language, FNJI FORE explores the lifestyle and mindset of today’s youth. By experimenting with diverse materials and techniques, it aims to bring out a more personalized expression in furniture.

He is currently a designer at the homeware brand Fanji, a founding member of the China Furniture Design Research Society, a research fellow at the Academy of Environmental Art under the China Culture and Arts Promotion Association, and a collaborative designer with the century-old French lighting brand ART ET FLORITUDE.
Xiao’s design philosophy began to take shape in his early “Fusion” series, where the influence of traditional Chinese aesthetics became evident. Throughout his career in home design, he has consistently drawn inspiration from Chinese cultural traditions. His work explores the integration of local heritage with a distinct personal voice, often through the lens of traditional craftsmanship.
Favoring simplicity over ornate complexity, his designs aim to evoke a sense of quiet grandeur and understated elegance. Xiao Tianyu’s work has been featured in international media such as The New York Times, and exhibited at PIASA (France), Poly Auction, and various domestic and international galleries. His pieces are also held in the permanent collections of institutions including M+ Museum in Hong Kong.
