Before the holidays arrive, before calendars fill and to-do lists take over, we invited designers, customers and friends into our Alexandria showroom for an afternoon designed entirely for slowing the pace, taking a breath and reconnecting with comfort.

The Slow Down Event wasn’t about rushing through decisions. It was about stepping into a calm, warm space and experiencing our newest modular sofas the way they’re meant to be enjoyed — slowly. Guests settled into soft curves, rearranged modules at their own rhythm, compared colours, chatted with us about what makes a space feel good, and voted for the sofa that spoke to them most. The feedback we received was heartfelt, thoughtful and incredibly inspiring.

To make the afternoon feel even more restorative, we partnered with Two More Rolls, whose beautiful catering brought an easy sense of joy to the room — warm pastries, fresh rolls, drinks that encouraged lingering, and a playful spread that set the tone for relaxation. Food, conversation and design blended seamlessly, and the showroom felt less like a store and more like a gathering of friends pausing together.

Amid the laughter, soft music and gentle sunlight, something special happened: people genuinely slowed down.

Designers talked about their end-of-year projects with a renewed sense of calm; customers told us they hadn’t taken a moment for themselves in weeks; children sprawled across the sofas as if claiming them as their own.

It reminded all of us that comfort is not only about the furniture we choose, it’s about the moments we allow ourselves to rest.
