At Alcova, Milan Design Week 2026, Studio Ololoo presented Nobody In The Golden Age, an exhibition exploring the quiet relationship between nature, craftsmanship, and material. Moving away from the idea of individual achievement, the showcase highlights the importance of observation, process, and the enduring qualities found in thoughtfully designed objects.

As a studio known for combining analytical thinking with sensitivity, Studio Ololoo’s work reflects a considered approach to contemporary design, creating pieces that connect with everyday experiences through form, function, and emotion.

Featured as part of the exhibition, the Bubble Stool captures Studio Ololoo’s fascination with memory, material, and human interaction. Inspired by the childhood experience of blowing bubbles, the design combines an inflated TPU air bag with an irregular wooden ring to create a playful yet supportive seating piece.

Available in Silver, Black, and Lime, the Bubble Stool brings together unexpected materials and familiar emotions, transforming a simple everyday object into a piece that invites curiosity, comfort, and connection.

Founded by Jaco and Zhen, Studio Ololoo is a design studio shaped by their experiences studying in Germany and Italy, as well as their time working alongside Dutch design master Marcel Wanders. Their practice is driven by curiosity towards everyday phenomena, material exploration, and the relationship between objects and human experience.

Combining analytical thinking with a sensitive approach to design, Studio Ololoo creates thoughtful pieces that balance form, function, and emotion.
