    The Its Ears Lounge Chair is part of a poetic and emotionally driven collection inspired by the designer’s own dog. The chair’s rounded backrest mimics the soft, furry ears of a pup, an impression so vivid it evokes the urge to gently pinch them. Its sculptural form blends warmth with playful intimacy, creating a friend-like presence in any room. Upholstered in tactile boucle reminiscent of animal fur, the chair offers not just aesthetic softness but also emotional comfort.     One Week Design

    Xiaoya Wang

    Shanghai-based designer and co-founder of One Week Design, a studio committed to exploring the endless possibilities of contemporary upholstered furniture. “We don’t just design products—we design moments of surprise in everyday life.”

    Xiaoya graduated in 2010 with a degree in Furniture Design from the Industrial Design Department at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. She moved to Shanghai alone after graduation, working her way from furniture engineer to designer in various factories and studios—gaining a deep understanding of materials, techniques, and aesthetics along the way.

    From 2018 to 2020, she pursued a Master’s degree in Design for People at Design School Kolding in Denmark, graduating with distinction. In 2021, she returned to Shanghai and co-founded One Week Design with her husband.

    Her work has been featured in Arts Thread, Sight Unseen, Leibal, IDEAT, AD, and Wallpaper.
