With its plush, rounded backrests reminiscent of soft, furry ears, the series brings warmth, whimsy, and emotional connection into interior spaces. The collection includes a dining chair, lounge chair, and low-back bench, each thoughtfully crafted to soften both space and mood. Upholstered in tactile boucle, the fabric mimics the feel of animal fur, enhancing the organic and comforting shape. ITS EARS isn’t just furniture.     One Week Design

    Xiaoya Wang

    Shanghai-based designer and co-founder of One Week Design, a studio committed to exploring the endless possibilities of contemporary upholstered furniture. “We don’t just design products—we design moments of surprise in everyday life.”

    Xiaoya graduated in 2010 with a degree in Furniture Design from the Industrial Design Department at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. She moved to Shanghai alone after graduation, working her way from furniture engineer to designer in various factories and studios—gaining a deep understanding of materials, techniques, and aesthetics along the way.

    From 2018 to 2020, she pursued a Master’s degree in Design for People at Design School Kolding in Denmark, graduating with distinction. In 2021, she returned to Shanghai and co-founded One Week Design with her husband.

    Her work has been featured in Arts Thread, Sight Unseen, Leibal, IDEAT, AD, and Wallpaper.
