The Heart Chair by ONE WEEK is a romantic expression of form and emotion. Infused with warmth, sincerity, and playfulness, its iconic heart-shaped backrest isn’t just symbolic. It’s ergonomically curved to cradle the body in comfort. Designed with versatility in mind, it takes on two personalities: as a sculptural dining chair with powder-coated metal legs, or as a cozy lounge piece with fully upholstered volume. From every angle, it surprises front-facing, it’s a sweet heart; from the side, a whimsical silhouette that feels both bold and endearing. A heartfelt design statement that turns seating into storytelling.

One Week Design
Xiaoya Wang
Shanghai-based designer and co-founder of One Week Design, a studio committed to exploring the endless possibilities of contemporary upholstered furniture. “We don’t just design products—we design moments of surprise in everyday life.”
Xiaoya graduated in 2010 with a degree in Furniture Design from the Industrial Design Department at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. She moved to Shanghai alone after graduation, working her way from furniture engineer to designer in various factories and studios—gaining a deep understanding of materials, techniques, and aesthetics along the way.
From 2018 to 2020, she pursued a Master’s degree in Design for People at Design School Kolding in Denmark, graduating with distinction. In 2021, she returned to Shanghai and co-founded One Week Design with her husband.
Her work has been featured in Arts Thread, Sight Unseen, Leibal, IDEAT, AD, and Wallpaper.
